Funds For Family Fun

Funds For Family Fun Solihull families have been given a boost thanks to generous workers who have helped fund a series of trips and activities.

Employees of Birmingham-based Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG) have donated £400 towards a variety of days out for parents and toddlers.

The staff donation to Chelmsley Wood Children’s Centre was made possible through the company’s Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme. Each month, employees donate a sum from their salary to benefit good causes.

Like all the centres in Solihull, it is a place where parents and carers can pop in, have a coffee, and meet other families and children.

Co-ordinator Linda Davies said: “We have had a full summer programme, including trips to Weston-super-mare, activities at the leisure centre in North Solihull and outings to the airport and the local parks. We are also part of the community events, such as Babbs Mill fun day.

“Thanks to this donation from staff at Pertemps People Development Group more parents and children will have the opportunity to access events and fun days in their local community.”

PPDG’s PR manager Phil Pemble said that the company was delighted to make a payroll donation to the scheme as part of its active community support programme.
